Sweet Memories Are Made of These Jar…

I wanted to try something different this year. My BFF and I mentioned last year how we wanted to make a “Memory Jar” starting for the New Year.

I wanted to try something different this year. My BFF and I mentioned last year how we wanted to make a “Memory Jar” for the New Year.

The purpose of the jar is to write down good things that happen to you on little pieces of paper:

  • accomplished goals
  • “LOL” moments
  • memories
  • daily blessings… etc.

Then, on December 31st, open the jar and read all the good things that’s happened to you during the course of the year.

Supplies that I used:

Jar- laying around the house

Stickers- Dollar Tree

Adhesive Gems- Michaels for $1.56

Gold Paint- Laying around the house

DIY Mouse Pad

I needed to a new mouse pad to go along with my new computer. So, I took matters into my own hands and decided to make one of my own.

How I achieved my DIY mouse pad was with the items below:

  1. some fabric I had laying around the house which I had gotten from Walmart
  2. a bowl (use it as a template)
  3. Mod Podge (Micheals)
  4. Scissors
  5. Adhesive foam paper (Michaels)

Although I didn’t use the mod podge because the paper used had an adhesive back, I would suggest using it to make sure it’s secure and doesn’t lift later on.

DIY Gel Manicure!!!

Here are the products I used to achieve my at home gel manicure:

1) Sally Hansen Gel Nail Polish (make sure it’s the one that requires a LED Lamp). I usually purchase my gel polishes from Harmon Discount because I can use my 20% Bed Bath and Beyond coupons; they also have $5.00 off coupons that you can also use. The nail polishes run about $11.00. Below you’ll see Steps 1, 2 & 3. Step 1 is the base coat, Step 2 is the color of your choice and Step 3 is the top coat.

2) The LED Lamp was given to me as a gift so I’m not really sure how much it cost. I did price the one at Harmon which is a Sally Hansen LED Lamp and it goes for about $50.00. It’s worth the investment as it will save you money in the long run.

3) The decals you see are from Dollar Tree (that’s right I said Dollar Tree, lol). I use them to add a little kick to my nails.

Here is the finished look! Enjoy!!!
